BIG SCOTT GIBSON

Scott Gibson is one of Scotland’s most original and uncompromising stand-up comics — a darkly hilarious storyteller whose work fuses raw honesty, unapologetic grit, and razor-sharp humour. Hailing from Glasgow, The Big, Bald, Bearded Glaswegian bust onto the comedy scene in 2010 and quickly carved his place as one of the most compelling voices in British stand-up.

Scott’s comedy blends conversational warmth with an unfiltered look at life’s messier truths — from the absurd to the existential — all delivered with linguistic flair, gloriously bad language, and a fearless outlook that defies convention. Whether he’s riffing on mental health, modern life, or the universal chaos of being human, his trademark style is equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking, taking audiences places few comics dare to go.

His breakthrough came with Life After Death, a show born from a near-brush with mortality that won him the Edinburgh Comedy Award (Best Newcomer) in 2016 — making him the first Scottish comedian in history to do so. Since then, Scott has toured widely, sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and built a reputation as a powerful live performer and MC.

Alongside stand-up, Scott is the force behind THE HAS#TAG SHOW — an underground comedy podcast known for its anarchic energy, big ideas, and unfiltered conversations.

Described by The Evening Standard as “Irvine Welsh meets Billy Connolly,” and by The Herald as “riotously funny, painfully raw,” Scott continues to challenge expectations and connect with audiences who crave comedy that’s bold, heart-on-sleeve, and unmistakably real.
